✍️ My LinkedIn Engagement List (You Can Build Yours, Too!)
So Reader...
The results are in.
And it's clear from a recent poll question I posted on LinkedIn that most of you want to understand how to create a better engagement strategy.
So in true "practice what I preach" content creation fashion, I’ve listened, and focused this issue on giving you advice that's helpful based on what you're saying you need:)
I know that about 99% of us have limited time and still want to make the most of showing up on LinkedIn. Me included!
What can I say...these puppies are requiring quite a bit of attention these days (it's like having babies all over again, lol)...
So, what am I doing (and coaching my clients to do) that works when you're short on time?
Create a LinkedIn Engagement List.
It's nothing fancy. Just a Google doc you can easily access from your phone.
In this one document, I've sectioned out...
- The Big Guys/Gals with the massive followings who I enjoy and continue to learn from (Jay Clouse, Jasmin Alec, and Terry Rice are some of my favs right now.)
- New Friends / Potential Clients, I don't want to lose track of in my connections
- Pie in the Sky Dream Clients that I can only IMAGINE one day getting to work with
- Past/Present Clients, I want to continue to support
For each group, I've included the person's name and then their profile page link in the doc.
This way, instead of automatically defaulting to the feed when I land on LinkedIn, I can pull up this doc and start running through the list of names.
And doing it from my phone allows me to engage easily from anywhere.
Especially when my pups are asleep on me ❤️
Just go through the list, click on the links, land on their profile page, and then scroll to their most recent post to make a comment.
Talk about a way to engage faster (and more focused) with limited time!
And no, you don’t have to comment on everyone’s post every day. Do yourself a favor and just let that pressure go.
But this gives you a system.
And if your main goal is to attract clients, prioritize those folks! Don't leave them until last to engage with. Put them first.
Just this week, I had two meetings with potential clients who found me because I’d left comments on their company pages or posts from senior leaders.
That initial engagement sparked curiosity, leading them to...
- Clicking on my profile to see what I do
- Seeing my content, backing up my knowledge of LinkedIn
- And reaching out in the DMs
So what are you waiting for?
Do you have your own LinkedIn Engagement List?
If not, set that Google doc up today!

Do we wait until we retire, or go all-in now?
This was the question my husband and I found ourselves asking.
In 2021, we rented an Airstream Basecamp and took our kids to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
I didn’t grow up camping.
For me, vacations meant beaches and hotels. So I wasn’t prepared for how much I’d fall in love.
It wasn’t just the destination.
It was the adventure.
The cozy metal walls that felt like home.
The games of UNO at night, pretzels dipped in peanut butter, all of us snuggled together in a king-size space.
The simple joy of just hanging out.
And all of this felt magical before I knew the story behind Airstream.
It wasn’t just a shiny camper, it was a vision born from Wally Byam, who wanted a more comfortable way to explore with his wife.
His passion for adventure, for togetherness on the road, is baked into every curve of that aluminum design.
👉 That’s the power of a story.
And it played a part in pulling us into the Airstream family.
In a world where AI can churn out content at lightning speed, I still think what cuts through is the human story…the why behind what we build and why we're driven in the first place.
Airstream didn’t just sell us a camper, but it invited us into a legacy of adventure.
So the next time you think about your brand, ask yourself…
What’s the story you’re inviting people into? That's what others want to hear:)
P.S. Do you like to camp? Send me your favorite camping meals. I still need to improve in that department!
